On the State of Economy

It is high time we start to think outside of the box to solve our problems around here in Nigeria and Africa at large. It is something disheartening seeing a country and continent rich in natural and human resources looking everywhere for all they need.
Kudos to the critical scholar George Ayitteh, he recommended using African solution to African problem, let's leave that for another day. When we want to fund budget and leave recession all we could think of is IMF loan and of course the controversial sale of National assets.
I remember some months ago at a conference where two brilliant minds talked on resource course in Africa and the way forward. I felt impressed by the way these brilliant men tackled the question, and the major recommended solution is that we diversify Nigerian and African economy.
Then the question that came to my mind was "does economy work instantaneously?" , "Is it actually oil and these resources that are curses or the way they are managed?"
